This week the kind folks from the NDSEG (National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate) Fellowship program highlighted me as their weekly featured fellow. This is an announcement the group puts out weekly on their Facebook and Twitter pages to highlight the cool work their fellows are doing. I am honored to be their featured fellow, and am thankful for their support. The announcement from their Facebook page is as follows:
We are pleased to announce this week's Featured Fellow...Geoffrey Hannigan!
Geoffrey is a 2012 fellow (and third year graduate student) in the Biosciences discipline. He is in the Gene Therapy and Vaccines part of the Cell and Molecular Biology program at the University of Pennsylvania (what a mouthful!).
In December, Cold Spring Harbor's Perspectives in Medicine published Geoffrey's review on the skin microbiome in health and disease: http://bit.ly/1efKXXX
Then in January, Geoffrey's clinical manuscript on the microbiome associated with traumatic wounds was published as well! Have a look at his findings here: http://bit.ly/1hdiQOR
We are very impressed by Geoffrey's accomplishments! We can't wait to see what else he will do.
